TREATED CARCASING TIMBER

We offer high quality softwood pressure treated structural C16/C24 graded timber for the building and construction industry.  Our softwood structural timber is planer regularized  with eased edges and strength graded to C16/C24, BS4978 & EN14081. Sought after by the construction sector our timber is kiln dried for greater stability. Wooden World Ltd hold in stock a wide range of pressure treated carcassing timber with sizes ranging from 2.4 to 6.0 meters  in length and in various sizes from 38 x 50 to 47 x 225. Longer lengths and larger dimensions are available on request. Please ask for details.

Structurally graded carcassing timber is used mostly in applications such as floor joists, rafters, purlins, studwork, beams, sheds, stables, garden offices, the construction of decking areas, and elevated balconies.

Strength graded structural timbers are selected and graded by taking into consideration factors such as timber species, moisture content, knot size, content and proximity, resin pockets, fissures, splits, twist, bow, cupping, straightness and wane. Lower grade timber has a higher level of defects than better quality timber.

Pressure treatment offers a high level of protection against rot, wood boring insects, mildew and other wood decaying organisms.
